Glamping
Fall asleep to the sound of crickets and the creek without sacrificing essential comforts! We have four covered glamping platforms that are newly constructed and perched on Moriah Knoll. All glampers at this higher area have access to the 2 bathrooms in the bathhouse, featuring 2 indoor hot showers, 4 toilets and 4 vanities (and laundry for extended stays). Glamping platforms offer:
- Full-sized bed with a weather-protected memory foam mattress
- Hanging mosquito netting over the bed (BYO linens)
- 2 hanging hammock chairs
- Cooler, power outlets, fan/light, full-length retractable privacy wall
- Wood-burning stove seating area
- Outdoor grilling areas
At the lower area of the property (connected by a .3 mile loop hiking trail from Moriah Knoll to the Night Owl Bar), the lakeside pavilion offers a glamping loft with camping stove and chairs, and can sleep up to 4 on two full-sized mattresses and the barn glamping rooms (changing rooms that convert over for sleeping) on a pull-out sofa in each. The barn rooms are complete with wifi, a streaming tv, kitchenette, and basic essentials. All glampers at the lower portion have access to the 2 bathrooms at the barn and outdoor showers.
Current construction includes a large timber-frame community picnic pavilion with an outdoor kitchen. It sits on the crest of the knoll for glampers to gather, share meals at the community grilling area, play games, or just sit and enjoy the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina.
Camping
North Sawmill Flats can reasonably accommodate approximately twelve 2-4 person tents, while Creekside Cove can reasonably accommodate ten 2-4 person tents. Both camps include grills and picnic tables and access to bathrooms and outdoor showers at the rear of the barn.
