Directions From Boone

(approx. 30 minutes)

  1. Take Highway 421S towards Deep Gap/Wilkesboro for
    9 miles.
  2. Turn Left on Highway 221N.
  3. Travel 2.8 miles, then turn right on Idlewild Road.
  4. Travel 3.9 miles, then turn right on Park Vista Road.
  5. Drive 2 miles up to the Blue Ridge Parkway, cross over the Parkway onto Benge Ashe Rd.
  6. Downshift to save your brakes! Drive 2 miles and turn left on Big Ivy Road.
  7. Turn right into the main driveway through the gateway.

*In warmer months you can take the Blue Ridge Parkway and exit at Mile Marker 268 onto Benge Ashe Road.

From Wilkesboro and
North Wilkesboro

(approx. 30 minutes)

  1. Take Highway 421N towards Boone and turn right onto Highway 221N after the Blue Ridge Parkway overpass.
  2. Travel 2.8 miles, then turn right on Idlewild Road.
  3. Travel 3.9 miles, then turn right on Park Vista Road.
  4. Drive 2 miles up to the Blue Ridge Parkway, cross over the Parkway onto Benge Ashe Rd.
  5. Downshift to save your brakes! Drive 2 miles and turn left on Big Ivy Road.
  6. Turn right into the main driveway through the gateway.

Alternate Route from Wilkesboro

  1. From Highway 421 N, turn right on Falls Creek Road.
  2. Falls Creek Road becomes Summit Road,
  3. Turn left onto Phillips Gap Road.
  4. Turn right onto Big Ivy Road.

From West Jefferson

(approx. 30 minutes)

  1. Take NC 163 south for 9.7 miles to Idlewild Road.
  2. Turn right onto Idlewild Road and continue for 3.4 miles.
  3. Turn Left onto Park Vista Road.
  4. Drive 2 miles up to the Blue Ridge Parkway, cross over the Parkway onto Benge Ashe Rd.
  5. Downshift to save your brakes! Drive 2 miles and turn left on Big Ivy Road.
  6. Turn right into the main driveway through the gateway.

Alternate Routes from
West Jefferson & Jefferson

  1. Take NC 16 to the Blue Ridge Parkway
  2. Travel south on the Parkway to mile post 268 and exit left onto Benge Ashe Road.
  3. Downshift to save your brakes! Drive 2 miles and turn left on Big Ivy Road.
  4. Turn right into the main driveway through the gateway.

or

  1. Take NC 16 to NC 163, before the Blue Ridge Parkway.
  2. Turn left onto NC 163.
  3. Travel on NC 163 for just over 1 mile and turn left onto Idlewild Road, and continue for 3.4 miles.
  4. Turn Left onto Park Vista Road. cont’d with previous steps
